Annual Infant, Child and Adolescent Training Days
Goal: The objectives of the annual infant, child and adoelescent days are to:
- Provide up to date quality trianing and continuing education to the child and adolescent mental health workforce
- Provide a forum for local experts to present/deliver training
- Disseminate information throughout the sector
- Provide a forum for the child and adolescent mental health workforce to gather and discuss deliveru of care to their particular client groups within a New Zealand context.

Stocktake of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
Goal: The stocktake will include a broad outline of all services (including DHB and NGO funded, mainstream and kaupapa Maori) who contribute to the recovery of children and adolescent with a mental health problem. This project will provide a foundation for strategic planning for the Child and Adolecsnt Mental Health Sector.

Sector Training and Development
Goal: It is expected that these workshops will contribute to the ongoing professional development of providers of child and adolescent mental health and alcohol and drug services funded by the Ministry of Health.

Provision of Distance Outreach Training for PECT
Goal: To enable post graduate training in child and adolescent mental health that is accessible to people working, or proposing to work in CAMHS throughout New Zealand. This project will encourage uptake by the other tertiary providers of post-graduate courses in child and adolescent mental health.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Goal: To increase the capability of the child and adolescent mental health workforce to provide effective, evidence based treatment for common mental health problems. This will be provided through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) training specific to the needs of child and adolescent consumers.

Clinical Placement Coordination in DHB's
Goal: To increase the number and quality of child and adolescent placements for students undertaking academic mental health programmes. In the first stage of the project, priority will be given to DHBs in the Northern and Midland Regions to reflect the greater workforce needs in these areas.

Strategic Framework
Goal: To develop a 10 year strategic framework for child and adolescent mental health workforce development. The key objective of this project is to provide a framework to inform future government funded initiatives to increase the capacity and capability of the child and adolescent mental health workforce.

Develop a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Competency Framework
Goal: The principle service deliverable is a competency framework document which details the mental health and addictions sector competencies (knowledge, attitudes and skills) related to working in specialist mental health (secondary and tertiary) infant, child and adolescent services.

Consumer Participation - Family Whanau
Goal: To develop service guidelines for a peer support programme for families/whanau of child and adolescent consumers of mental health and substance abuse/ addictions services. Such guidelines will help to promote the recognition and implementation of needs for non-clinical support and mentoring for families/whanau.

Consumer Participation - Youth
Goal: To identify and support good models of practice for youth consumer participation by youth in Child and Adolescent Mental Health substance abuse/ addictions services.

Parent Management Training - Incredible Years
Goal: To facilitate intersectorial collaboration to provide training in evidence based Parent Management Training (PMT) across a wide range of community and specialist settings.

Comprehensive Web Based Clearing House
Goal: To provide a central point for dissemination of information relating to child and adolescent mental health through a web based clearing house to organisations which contribute to the recovery of children and adolescents experiencing mental health problems.
