The Child, Adolescent and Family Service (CAFS) helps children and young people up to 20 years old with moderate to severe emotional, behavioural or psychological problems. The Youth Specialty Service (YSS) helps young people aged 13-20 years old with serious mental health problems. We can see you at our service base, in your home or at another arranged meeting place.
You are invited to have your family/whanau, other support people or an advocate with you when you use our services. |
| Referral Process: |
Anyone can make a referral to our service. Our Intake Worker takes referrals for both CAFS and YSS. Referrals can be made over the telephone or on our CCH forms. Once a referral has been accepted you will be contacted to arrange an initial appointment. |

Vakaola: Pacific Community Health
| Service Provided: |
Vakaola provides culturally appropriate support for Pacific people affected by mental illness through integrated, ethnic-specific mental health services. Vakaola is governed by Board of Pacific community representatives covering five Pacific nations: Cook Islands, Niue , Samoa, Tonga, and Toea. The staff of Vakaola is also representative of these Pacific nations. Vakaola has offices located in the Porirua City and the Lower Hutt city. |
