Sue Treanor
Director
Sue Treanor joined The Werry Centre as associate Director, and became director in 2004. Sue came to us with more than 20 years experience as a clinical psychologist. She has worked in a range of settings including in-patient, D/CY+F, and most recently as Clinical Team Leader, Kari Centre, Auckland Central CAMHS. She is keen to build relationships with child and adolescent and family mental health workers throughout New Zealand.

Debbi Tohill
National Manager
Debbi joins the Werry Centre after six years experience with the Mental Health Foundation. Her background is in HR and Administration and she recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Not-for-Profit Management. Debbi’s role involves providing management support to the Project Leaders and directly managing projects relating to the CAMHS Conference, training days and website.

Justine Leef
Executive PA
Justine has been working at the Werry Centre since 2004. Her role is to support the Executive Team and lead the Project Support team. Justine’s background is in administrative roles within the mental health field, both NGO and DHB services.

Téa joins the Werry Centre in the new position of Administration Assistant. She is responsible for the day to day management of office processes, support to the administration team and as the front person for the Werry Centre she deals with all visitors and enquiries.

Tania Williams
Project Support Administrator
Tania joined the Werry Centre’s Christchurch office in September 2009. She has been previously worked within the Mental Health Sector, and has many years experience in a support capacity. Tania’s role is to support the Werry staff with their project needs and commitments ensuring that events, forums, conferences etc, run as expected. She is the front person for the Christchurch Office, and deals with all visitors and enquiries and assists with the general day-to-day running of the office.

Dr. Bronwyn Dunnachie
Senior Advisor
In her Senior Advisor role, Bronwyn has responsibility for the Christchurch office of the Werry Centre, and leads a stream of work which includes the Real Skills Plus competency framework development.
Bronwyn has an extensive background working with young people and their whanau in both clinical and managerial roles in community settings. Most recently Bronwyn held a senior role at the CAFMHS in Christchurch . She currently maintains a Private Practice.

Tania Wilson
Senior Advisor
Of Te Arawa and Ngapuhi descent Tania has come to the Werry Centre with 20 plus years working as a clinical psychologist in a number of settings including forensic, maternal mental health, and child & adolescent mental health. Her former roles have included being a Clinical Director for a large NGO, manager of a regional CAMHS service, and consultant to various government departments on clinical issues, risk management, training, programme design and professional development.

Maliaga Erick
Pacific Clinical Advisor
Fakaalofa lahi atu and Warm Pacific Greetings.
Maliaga Erick is a well known Pacific Island Mental Health Professional to Pacific Mental Health providers, locally, regionally and nationally. She has vast experience in community work and 11 years experience as a Clinical Social Worker/Senior Community Support Worker. Mali is also a member of the Multi-Regional Ethic Committee, member of the Pacific Reference Committee to the Mental Health Commisssion, National Director for Niu Development Inc part time. Mali will be working with the team to ensure that Pacific workforce needs are acknowledged in all Werry Centre workforce initiatives.

Janice Beazley
Maori Clinical Advisor
Ngati Maniapoto me Ngati Rehua nga iwi
Janice came to the Werry Centre in April 2008 from her position as Team Co-ordinator for the Maori Clinical Team, He Kaakano at Counties Manukau DHB. She has nearly 20 years experience working as a Child & Family Therapist in the DHB and NGO sectors in South Auckland. Her passion is to participate in Werry Centre projects that will contribute to a reduction in the disparities in mental health outcomes for Maori tamariki and taiohi.

Trish Lumb
Family/Whanau Advisor / Project Leader
Trish joined the Werry Centre as the Family/Whanau Advisor and is based at the Christchurch office. She has spent the last 7 years working voluntarily on a youth consumer and family/whanau advisory group with the CAF Services, CDHB.
Trish has a BSc in Psychology from the University of Canterbury and is completing a BA in Education and Human Services. She is very passionate about promoting child, youth and family participation and support in the mental health services.

Shona Clarke
Youth Consumer Advisor / Project Leader
Shona joined the Werry Centre team in 2005 to work on the Youth Consumer Participation project after spending nearly two years as a Youth Consumer Advisor on the Werry Centre Advisory Board. She enthusiastically advocates for youth consumer participation, and has advised in various mental health settings for four years. Shona has completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in psychology at the University of Auckland.

Joyce Leevard
Youth Consumer Advisor
Kia Ora I’m Joyce, I am a youth consumer advisor here at The Werry Centre. I have been here at The Werry Centre and part of the ‘Youth Team’ since October 2007. Previously I have been involved with Whirinaki and helped lead one of their groups called ‘Interacteen’ where young service users go to help improve their social skills. I am excited to be working at The Werry Centre as I am very passionate about young people’s needs and mental health. I also am on the Like minds Like Mine youth advisory group and have completed Blueprint’s consumer advisor training course.

Ingrid Altena
Project Leader - Parent Management Training
Ingrid joined the Werry Centre as Project Leader for Parent Management Training. She is a social worker with 10 years experience working in child and adolescent mental health as a clinician and as a Team Leader.
Her current project involves further training in Incredible years parenting Programmes and encouraging agencies to work collaboratively in their delivery of the Programmes. She also continues her employment on a part time basis with the CAMHS service in South Auckland facillitating Incredible Years groups in the community.

Karen Moke
Canterbury Mental Health Placement Advisor
Karen joins us as the Canterbury Mental Health Advisor with the Clinical Placement Project. She has worked as a mental health nurse in both New Zealand and overseas. Over recent years her focus has been working with young people and their families. Karen was working at Student Health & Support, Lincoln University prior to commencing with us. Previously she worked at Youth Specialty Service with the Canterbury District Health Board. Karen has a post graduate diploma in Health Sciences (Nursing) and is working towards a certificate in Clinical Teaching.

Maggie Jakob-Hoff
Evaluator
Maggie Jakob-Hoff joined the Werry centre in October 2009. She has been doing evaluation and social research for many years as a consultant and has worked across a number of sectors, primarily health, education and social services. Maggie’s role is to support the Werry staff with their evaluation needs and to help to build evaluation capacity within the organisation.

Julliet Bir
Assistant Research Fellow
Julliet Bir completed her Master of Science (Psychology, 1st Class Hons) in 1998 from the University of Auckland.
Julliet joined the Werry Centre in 2002 as a part-time Centre Administrator and since then has worked as an Assistant Research Fellow involved in various projects.

Rachel Lawson
Project Leader- Eating Disorders
Rachel has joined the WerryCentre on secondment until December 2011 and will be working in a part time capacity. Rachel is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Acting Clinical Head of the South Island Eating Disorders Service. She has worked treating consumers with Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder for the past ten years. She has co-authored two books on the treatment of eating disorders, as well as published research in this field. She teaches students, and speaks to local, national and international audiences about eating disorders.

Cherry Hsu
Website Coordinator
Cherry rejoined the Werry Centre in July 2010. She previously worked at the Werry Centre as a Learning Technologist in 2004 for a year. In 2005, she further developed and applied her IT skills and knowledge at the Goodfellow Unit, The University of Auckland. Six years later, she found herself back at the Werry Centre, this time her primary focus is on nurturing the Werry Centre website to ensure it is current and engaging.

Tania Anstiss
Incredible Years Practice Advisor
Tania has joined the Incredible Years Team as Practice Advisor. Her role is to help support the development of the growing Incredible Years workforce throughout New Zealand. Tania is also a Clinical Psychologist at Waitemata DHB where she continues to lead Incredible Years groups.
