| Service Provided: |
The Service provides a multidisciplinary approach, recognises the developmental needs of children and young people, includes families/whanau/caregivers, recognises individuality and autonomy of our clients in provision of therapy and treatment, and at all times recognises and respects cultural differences. The service accepts referrals from all sources including self-referrals, and is available for children and young people up to age 18-20 who present with serious or suspected serious mental illness as per the Ministry Service Specifications. |
| Eligibility of Service: |
Children aged 0-14 and young people aged 14-18 or 20 who meet the criteria of serious mental illness. |
| Referral Process: |
Letter, fax, form, phone call from any source. All referrals are given face-to-face interview and assessment by the Intake Worker, discussed by the Team at a weekly intake meeting, and allocated to a Case Manager or placed on a waiting list. Emergency referrals will be seen by a psychiatrist. |
